Why dine with us on Christmas Day?
Cooking the Christmas dinner: unless you are a Nigella Lawson-style Goddess (and if you are, we salute you), this can be a high-stress activity. The expectations are high, and the pressure is on. Let’s be honest, the likelihood is you’ve had a Bucks Fizz or two by the time the cooking really gets going, and people have been rudely filling up on tins of Roses and selection boxes for hours, because it’s Christmas and that means you’re allowed to eat chocolate for breakfast. Someone doesn’t like sprouts, someone can’t stand parsnips…Get the timings wrong and your turkey is either as dry as the Sahara, or destined to give everyone a very unhappy New Year…A recipe for disaster.
It seems more and more people are avoiding such stresses and pressures that come with cooking Christmas dinner at home, by booking a meal out on 25th December to let the pros take care of the food. In fact, there has been a huge increase in people booking to dine out on Christmas day this year, compared to years gone by.
If you’re someone who can’t face the idea of cooking for an array of distant relatives, you’ll be pleased to know that The Moody Cow in Ilkley and Apperley Bridge are both serving Christmas Day lunch. So take the weight off this year and forget slaving over the sprouts! Call us today to book your table.
